Morocco's National Ports Agency (ANP) reported net income of 105 million dirhams in 2023, up 123.4% year-on-year.
Operating income rose by a spectacular 511.4% to MAD 456 million, said ANP in a statement on its financial results to December 31, 2023.
Sales rose by 20.1% to over 2.5 billion dirhams, according to the same source, adding that added value reached MAD 1.78 billion, up 28.3% compared with 2022, giving an integration rate of almost 70.9%.
ANP also reported cash flow of MAD 939 million, up 7.4% on 2022.
Activity indicators pointed to a 1.4% increase in the level of activity of the ports managed by the Agency, to 88.4 million tons (Mt) in 2023.
This development is due to the rise in container import traffic (+10.7%) and fertilizer export traffic (+20.5%), as well as to the fall in coal import traffic (-6.2%) and phosphate export traffic (-18.4%).
