Spanish Minister Praises "Excellent Coordination" with Morocco in "Marhaba 2024" Operation

The Spanish Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, praised, Monday, the "excellent coordination" between his country and Morocco in the framework of the "Marhaba 2024" operation to welcome Moroccans residing abroad.

In statements to the press during his visit to the Port of Algeciras, Mr. Grande-Marlaska said that Morocco and Spain have provided significant means and mobilized all the human resources involved in this operation to ensure its smooth running.

The Spanish minister pointed out that all the teams mobilized for this purpose are doing "an exceptional job to ensure the continued success of this operation."

He noted that the excellent coordination between the Moroccan and Spanish authorities will undoubtedly allow for the best possible management of the "record numbers" of travelers and vehicles expected during this operation.

The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, under the effective presidency of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, had launched the twenty-fourth edition of the "Marhaba" operation to welcome Moroccans residing abroad starting from June 5 and continuing until September 15.

In this context, the foundation launched the "Marhaba" operation at various reception points within and outside Morocco, including in France, Spain, and Italy, to support and assist members of the diaspora during the arrival and return phases to and from Morocco, in parallel with other arrangements and measures taken by the parties involved in implementing the operation.
