Ex-Senegal PM: Morocco's African Initiatives Show King's Vision for Growth

The initiatives undertaken by King Mohammed VI since His accession to the Throne in favor of Africa illustrate His enlightened vision for the development and integration of the Continent, affirmed former Senegalese Prime Minister Moustapha Niasse.

In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day, Niasse emphasized that the Royal Initiatives stem from the Sovereign's desire to strengthen African solidarity so that the Continent occupies its rightful place on the international stage.

Niasse, also a former president of the Senegalese National Assembly, recalled the multiple visits made by His Majesty the King to several African countries, noting that these visits aimed at and resulted in the consolidation of relations between the Kingdom and these countries, through the strengthening of ties of solidarity and friendship, with a shared desire to ensure the development of Africa.

The Sovereign's visits to African countries have always been crowned by the signing of several cooperation agreements covering various fields, he continued.

Furthermore, Niasse praised the Atlantic Initiative of the King, which offers Sahel countries an opportunity to access the Atlantic Ocean.

"This Royal Initiative aims to enable landlocked African countries to access the ocean through road networks connected to Moroccan ports on the Atlantic," he noted, highlighting Morocco's tireless efforts in favor of strengthening African integration.
