The Moroccan Olympic football team won the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics after defeating the Egyptian team 6-0 in the third-place match.
The Moroccan team started their scoring against Egypt in the 23rd minute with a shot from player Abde Ezzalzouli. Teammate Soufiane Rahimi doubled the lead for the "Lions" in the 26th minute with a header that Egyptian goalkeeper Hamza Alaa Abdullah failed to stop.
Bilal El Khannous added the third goal in the 50th minute, before Rahimi scored again in the 64th minute to make it 4-0. Akram Nakach scored the fifth goal in the 73rd minute, and captain Achraf Hakimi completed the team's six-goal tally in the 87th minute with a direct free-kick.
With this result, the Moroccan team won a bronze medal in football for the first time in its history at the Olympic Games, marking a historic achievement for Moroccan football following the same team's victory in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
