Morocco-US military exercise "Arcane Thunder 24" wrapped up on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Southern Zone General Staff in Agadir.
Held in accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of FAR, this exercise took place from August 5 to 14, 2024 in Agadir, Guelmim, Cap Draa and Tan Tan.
This is the second edition of the "Arcane Thunder 24" exercise, taking place for the first time in Morocco, with the participation of around 300 personnels.
With an academic training phase and an execution phase, "Arcane Thunder 24" was marked by land, air and sea maneuvers in the fields of electronic warfare and cyber security.
The closing ceremony was attended by Major General, Chief of Staff of the Southern Zone Mohammed Benlouali, and Major General John Rafferty, Commanding General of the US Army's 56th Artillery Command, and featured several cutting-edge equipment, including aerial and maritime drones and high-altitude balloons.
"Arcane Thunder 24" is a precision-based synchronisation exercise for electronic warfare. It aims to enhance military capacities and strengthen cooperation, understanding and coordination between Morocco's FAR and the US military to address common challenges.
This exercise is another opportunity to highlight the long-standing partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America.
