The Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Handicraft, Air Transport and Social Economy, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, said yesterday, during her visit to the City of Dakhla in the South of the country, that Dakhla is recovering from the Coronavirus pandemic faster than national and international touristic destinations.
Alaoui pointed out in a meeting with professionals of the tourism and handicrafts sector in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, that the city has been able to maintain its tourism activities despite the constraints related to the Covid-19 pandemic, a crisis that has had a negative impact on the tourism sector worldwide.
"The current special circumstances call on us to seize the opportunities available, in a partnership and synergy guided by the spirit of patriotism and general interest, "added the minister as quoted by Moroccan News Agency MAP.
The minister affirmed that the way to get out from the crisis caused by pandemic remains dependent on the cooperation and involvement of various stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of "the values of solidarity and mutual assistance" that unite the Moroccans in the face of crises.
Nadia Fettah Alaoui has visited several touristic projects that are underway in the city of Dakhla in order to accelerate the work. These projects are part of a plan aimed at strengthening the touristic offers in the region.
The Dakhla region is being considered among the best destinations in the world for marine sports lovers and tourists who are passionate about desert adventures.
