King Mohammed VI Expresses Gratitude to Panama’s President for Support on Morocco’s National Cause

Morocco's King Mohammed VI sent a message of thanks to the President of the Republic of Panama, José Raúl Mulino Quintero, following his country’s decision regarding the Kingdom’s first National Cause.

“I would like to address My most sincere thanks, following the wise decision undertaken by Your friendly country on November 21, 2024, relating to the Kingdom of Morocco’s first National Cause,” the King wrote.

“This highly significant decision reinforces Morocco’s legitimate rights,” the Sovereign stressed, adding that “it is in line with international legality and is consistent with the ongoing global momentum.”

“I am pleased that a new page is being opened in the bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Panama,” the King said, stressing that “the Kingdom is driven by a genuine desire to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation with Panama, in all fields, for the benefit of Our two peoples.”

It is worth noting in this context that Panama recently announced the withdrawal of its recognition of the so-called "Sahrawi Republic," which had been established by the separatist Polisario Front, which disputes Morocco's sovereignty over the Saharan region.
