Morocco, Malta Vow Further Consolidation of All-Field Partnership

Morocco and Malta reaffirmed their determination to further strengthen their partnership in all areas, on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During a videoconference held on Wednesday, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta, Ian Borg, praised the excellence of the relations between Morocco and Malta, reiterating their mutual desire to further strengthen them in all areas.

In this regard, the two ministers emphasized "the importance of holding the 2nd session of the Morocco-Malta Joint Commission in Valletta," according to the joint statement issued on this occasion.

They agreed to continue dialogue for the establishment of a "Morocco-EU Strategic Partnership based on sound and solid foundations." In this regard, Malta reiterated "its commitment to contributing to the preservation and strengthening of this Morocco-EU strategic partnership at all levels," the joint statement continues.

The two ministers took this opportunity to exchange their views on several bilateral, regional, and international issues of common interest.
