King of Morocco Congratulates U.S. President on his Country's Independence Day

King Mohammed VI has sent a message of congratulations to U.S. President Joe Biden on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.

The king expresses, in the message, his best wishes for good health and happiness to President Biden, wishing the American people further progress and prosperity.

"As you celebrate this glorious occasion, it gives me great pleasure to commemorate with you, Mr. President the bicentennial of the Tangier Legation gifted by my venerable ancestor, Sultan Moulay Suleiman, to the United States of America as a token of friendship and as a mark of the consideration he had for your country's government. We value this as a symbol of the special, longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and United States of America," the King underlines.

"Our time-honored bilateral relations, which are rooted in mutual esteem and consideration, are a strong incentive for us to press ahead and constatly strengthen our ties through ambitious partnerships in all fields," the Sovereign points out.

The Kingdom of Morocco's strong commitment to universal values is instrumental to coordinate action with your Administration and promote these lofty values. They provide a solid basis for continuing our joint work, side by side, and consolidating our longstanding cooperation and friendship", the King stresses.
