Moroccan rescue teams managed, this Saturday evening, to extricate the child Rayan, who was stuck in the bottom of a well 32 meters deep for 5 days on the outskirts of the city of Chefchaouen in northern Morocco.
A statement issued by the Moroccan Royal Office confirmed the death of the victim, but it was not indicated whether he died before reaching him or after his rescuing.
The statement added that King Mohammed VI offered his condolences to the parents of the child Rayan.
This issue attracted very great global attention, as many world-famous personalities, and international football teams, such as Barcelona, Manchester United, and Chelsea, announced their solidarity with the child Rayan, who remained steadfast for more than 3 days without eating, as he was provided only with oxygen and water.
