Arrest Guinean president in military coup, siege of Moroccan football team hotel

On Sunday, Guinea Conakry witnessed a military coup led by a number of officers against President Alpha Condé.

Pictures obtained by "Assahifa" showed the arrest of the Guinean president by members of the Guinean army, and gunshots were heard near the presidential residence.

These developments took place near the residence of the Moroccan football team, where it is located in a hotel near the presidential headquarters, and the hotel has been cordoned off and entry or exit from it is prohibited.

A video obtained by "Assahifa" showed that the shooting took place near the hotel, close to the residence of President Alpha Condé, who was taken to an unknown destination.

The Guinean army declared a coup d'état in the country and demanded that the Guinean people live their lives normally.

It should be noted that FIFA announced the postponement of the Moroccan national team's match against its Guinean host due to these events inside the country.
