Congo displays investment opportunities to Moroccan companies

The Minister of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnership of the Congo, Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, presented, last Thursday in Casablanca, the opportunities offered by the Congolese economy to Moroccan economic operators in various fields.

Named "Congo, Land of Opportunities", this roadshow which stops in Casablanca after Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and London, was an opportunity for Sassou Nguesso to expose the investment opportunities to Moroccan companies and to plead for the reinforcement of South-South cooperation on the continental level in front of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Riyad Mezzour, and other Moroccan officials and decision makers.

As such, the Congolese minister shared with the audience the National Development Plan of his country, expressing his fervent wish to see Moroccan companies come and invest in the Congo, in the framework of a public-private partnership, while calling to privilege the South-South cooperation.

"Together, we will be able to carry out major projects with regard to both the predispositions, the assets of our economy and the willingness of our government to promote innovative financing," said Sassou Nguesso during this meeting, adding that "all this offers countless investment niches for our country which has the advantage of having, remember, a favorable economic framework and attractive taxation."

For his part, Mezzour said that this meeting is of great importance because it illustrates the implementation of the High Directions of His Majesty the King in the context of strengthening the win-win cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of the Congo.

"The Congolese minister has come to Morocco to present the various investment opportunities that the Congo offers to Moroccan companies, which would contribute to the development of this country and strengthen the food and industrial sovereignty of the continent," he added.
