African countries need to take a leaf out of the progress achieved by Morocco in various areas to stimulate development and create wealth,” said, on Monday, Malawian Foreign Minister, Nancy Tembo.
“Investing in quality education for all is a prerequisite for Africa's development and integration,” said Tembo at a meeting to commemorate Africa Day held by the Kingdom's Embassy in Lilongwe in collaboration with the African Union (AU).
Underlining that this day is an opportunity to engage in deep reflection on what future we want for Africa, she stressed that access to digitalization and new information and communication technologies is also a key factor in ensuring better education for future generations and strengthening the competitiveness of the African market.
The Minister also underlined that African countries should work together and put more efforts to ensure that the great potential they have is exploited for the benefit of the continent’s populations.
For his part, the Kingdom's Chargé d'Affaires in Lilongwe, Abdelkader Naji, noted that Africa Day is an opportunity to celebrate the continent's diversity and success, to highlight the cultural and economic potential it enjoys, and to shed light on the progress made towards achieving sustainable development goals.
“With a spirit of deep determination and strong commitment, Morocco continues to multiply its efforts to build the Africa we want”, he said, recalling that the Kingdom, under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI, has made Africa an absolute priority of its foreign policy, based on long-standing, deep and strong bilateral relations with many countries on the continent.
