Morocco's Sandia Tajdin won, Friday in Amman, the award for best actress at the Jordan International Film Festival, for her role in the film "Al Ala" by Moroccan filmmaker Oussama Lamharzi Alaoui.
The film tells the story of young Ismail who lives in a village in which he is the only one who can read and write.
For its part, Dutch film "Cuckoo" by director Jorgen Scholtens won most of the prizes of the Festival, winning the award for best film, best director, and best screenplay.
The prize for best actor went to Frank Lammers for his role in the film "Cuckoo", and Denis Lavas for his role in the Czech film "Figurant".
