The Tangier Regional Council of Architects “CROAT” has participated in this year's edition of the "Being Here" festival in order to highlight the creative abilities of architects and demonstrate their experience in mobilizing structural and engineering techniques in the service of the collective work of architects.
According to a statement from the council, this participation is also an opportunity to promote a little-known profession, that of scrap workers, who work behind the scenes, sometimes in difficult circumstances, to create our built environment.
This event consists of an artistic journey through various heritage and emblematic places of the Medina of Tangier where many artists and visual artists from various backgrounds evolve and express themselves.
CROAT's contribution consists of the design and construction of an ephemeral structure, installed at the Place du Mechouar opposite the Museum of Modern Art (former prison of the Kasbah).
This installation is the work of a collective of architects and students from the National School of Architecture of Tetouan in the representation of this noble body with ith the support of partner companies and professionals.
