Aeronautical industry: LPF Group inaugurates new factory in Morocco

Aircraft and helicopter parts manufacturer le Piston Français Group (LPF) inaugurated Wednesday in Casablanca a new factory dedicated to the production of high-tech mechanical parts, thus strengthening its industrial presence in Morocco.

Located in the industrial acceleration zone of Nouaceur "Midparc", LPF Casablanca is the first plant in Morocco dedicated to manufacturing circular hard metal parts for aircraft engines. This new structure, which integrates the aircraft engine ecosystem set up as part of the Industrial Acceleration Plan, strengthens Morocco's positioning in high value-added technological specializations.

With an investment in means of production of 55 million dirhams, this factory covers an area of 6,828 square meters, 4,078 sqm of which is covered. The new factory will employ 100 people by 2024 and will enable the French group to increase its production capacity and conquer markets with new customers.

The inauguration of the new factory took place in the presence of the Governor of the province of Nouaceur, Abdallah Chater, representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy, the Consul General of France in Casablanca, Serge Mucetti, and the Honorary President of Grouping of Moroccan Aeronautics and Spatial Industries (Gimas) and President of Midparc, Hamid Benbrahim El-Andaloussi.

LPF Group is a hard metal machining and mechanical assembly specialist. The group, which has been present in Morocco since 1999, generates an annual turnover of 100 million Euros.
