Major Polish companies plan to visit Morocco next May looking for investment opportunities, particularly in the Southern provinces, Morocco's news agency MAP reported.
"Morocco's Ambassador to Poland, Abderrahim Atmoun, held Friday in Warsaw a meeting with a delegation of Polish business leaders operating in various economic sectors in preparation for this working visit," said MAP adding that "during this meeting, Morocco's Ambassador and members of the delegation discussed the schedule for future investments in Morocco and actions to be undertaken in this context. The Polish delegation also had an overview of the detailed program of the visit organized by Morocco's Embassy to Poland".
In statements following this meeting, MAP said, the Polish delegation members expressed their admiration for the investment-friendly business climate and the economic dynamics experienced by the Kingdom under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, stressing the importance of this visit which opens the way for Polish companies to invest in Morocco, a country that is a real gateway to the African market.
The polish delegation included Ryszard Wtorkowski, President of LUG company, one of the main European manufacturers of professional lighting solutions.
It is expected that the Moroccan embassy in Poland would announce in the following weeks the details of the Polish companies' visit to Morocco, what they will visit, and how many days they will spend in the country.
Morocco seeks to attract foreign investments in the southern regions in order to boost the economic development there in a way that would have positive impacts on the inhabitants.
