2021THE Ranking: University in Fez Best in Morocco

The Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University of Fez maintained its position as Morocco's top university, for the third year in a row, according to the Times Higher Education 2021 World University Ranking (2021 THE Ranking).

The university is among the top 300 of international universities located in emerging countries out of a total of 606 universities under review.

It is followed by the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech and the Mohammed V University of Rabat (351-400) and the Hassan II University of Casablanca and the Ibn Tofail University of Kenitra (401-500).

Reacting to this result, the president of the University of Fez, Redouane Mrabet, stressed that the academic institution he chairs "aims to achieve excellence and be among the first universities nationally and internationally."

In the THE ranking published last September, the University of Fez distinguished itself in many disciplinary fields, including clinical and health sciences, computer science, engineering sciences and physics.

Founded in 1975, the University of Fez includes 13 higher education institutions, an institute for sports science and seven centers, spread over four university campuses: Agdal-Fez, Saïs-Fez, Bensouda-Fez and Taza. A fifth campus is being created in Taounate.
