Arab Summit: Morocco's FM Takes Part in Meeting of Follow-up Body for Implementation of Decisions and Commitments

Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, took part, on Tuesday in Manama, in a meeting of the follow-up body for the implementation of decisions and commitments, on the sidelines of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the 33rd Arab Summit scheduled for Thursday.

The body is made up of the Summit Troika (Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Bahrain), and the Arab League Council Troika at ministerial level (Kingdom of Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen).

During the meeting, the body approved the report submitted to it by the Secretary General of the Arab League, which highlights the efforts made by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, an offshoot the Al-Quds Committee, under the presidency of King Mohammed VI.

The report sheds light on the humanitarian operation ordered by the Sovereign on March 12, 2024, for the benefit of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Al-Quds Asharif, involving more than 40 tons of foodstuffs for a total budget of 1 million dollars.

This large-scale humanitarian operation, which benefited 2,000 families from the Al Quds, covered 22 basic products and enabled 1,000 meals to be distributed every day in Al Quds.

It also enabled the delivery of complete equipment to the “Red Crescent” hospital in Al Quds, as well as a batch of medicines and medical equipment to the Al-Makassed hospital.

The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency will also launch a microcredit program, in cooperation with the governor of Al-Quds, and other social projects worth 200,000 US dollars.
