Chinese President Xi Jinping departed from Morocco's Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca on Friday afternoon, after a brief visit to the Kingdom.
At his departure from the airport, President Xi was seen off by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, whereupon the Chinese leader reviewed a detachment of Morocco's Royal Navy who made the honors.
President Xi Jinping was then bid farewell by Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region and Governor of Casablanca Prefecture Mohamed Mhidia; President of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council Abdellatif Maâzouz; Governor of Nouaceur Province Jalal Benhayoun; President of the Nouaceur Provincial Council Mohamed Salmani; and President of the Nouaceur Commune, Abdelaziz Radi.
Prominent members of the Chinese diplomatic corps in Morocco, including Ambassador Li Changlin, Minister-Counselor Zhou Zhicheng, Military Attaché Xia Kelin, and Economic and Commercial Counselor Zheng Wei, were in attendance to bid farewell to the Chinese President.
During his visit to the Kingdom, President Xi Jinping was accompanied by a high-level delegation that included Cai Qi, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee and Director General of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP); Wang Yi, Politburo member and Director of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs; and Hua Chunying, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.
