A delegation of Moroccan businessmen arrived yesterday in Israel, onboard the first direct flight was launched officially by Morocco’s airflight carrier “Royal Air Maroc” between Casablanca and Tel Aviv.
The Moroccan businessmen belonging to the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) have started a visit to Israel for 3 days, in order to discover the means of cooperation with its Israeli counterparts, and discuss investment opportunities.
The visit is expected to witness a series of meetings between Moroccan and Israeli businessmen as of today, Monday. Agreements are likely to be signed between the two parties.
This visit from Morocco’s businessmen is the first of its kind after a number of visits from the part of Israeli businessmen and officials to Morocco since the full resumption of the diplomatic relations between Rabat and Tel Aviv in December 2020.
Last February, the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry, Orna Barbivai, paid an official visit to Morocco and signed with her Moroccan counterparts several agreements which are meant to promote and strengthen the economic ties between the two states.
