Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit expressed on Friday in Tangier his country's full support for King Mohammed VI's Atlantic Initiative, hailing the Sovereign's leadership in promoting South-South cooperation.
The Royal Initiative is “very crucial in enabling our countries to achieve the desired objectives and meet common challenges”, Skerrit stressed in a statement to the press, on the occasion of his participation in the 16th MEDays International Forum.
The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica noted that Morocco, thanks to its political stability and the leadership of His Majesty the King, is a major player in promoting South-South cooperation, peace and prosperity.
Referring to his country's support for the Kingdom's territorial integrity, Skerrit highlighted the growing international support for Morocco's autonomy plan for the Sahara.
He then stated that multilateralism remains the best way of addressing today's global challenges, such as pandemics, climate change and global insecurity, and called for a pooling of efforts, resources and innovation to meet these common challenges.
Under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, the 16th MEDays Forum, held until November 30 under the theme “Sovereignty and Resilience: Towards a New Global Balance”, brings together over 250 high-level speakers, including heads of state and government, political decision-makers, Nobel Prize winners, heads of major international companies and influential figures.
