Morocco's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Expatriates stated that the agreement on the mutual recognition of driver's licenses, signed on Wednesday between Morocco and Italy, aims to remove the obstacles faced by Moroccans residing in Italy when converting new-generation driver's licenses with Italian registration services.
"This agreement reflects the constant mobilization of the Moroccan government in favor of defending the interests of Moroccans abroad, in accordance with the instructions of King Mohammed VI," the ministry emphasized in a statement.
The signing of this agreement, which took place at the headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in Rome, marks the culmination of a lengthy cycle of negotiations between the two countries, the same source added.
