The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni held talks, on Tuesday in Helsinki, with Finnish government officials and business leaders on bolstering cooperation in digital transition.
During her meeting with Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Ville Tavio, both sides discussed the importance of strengthening the partnership between the two countries in areas related to digital transition and artificial intelligence.
They also reviewed the various digital initiatives launched in Morocco, under the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI, including the national strategy "Morocco Digital 2030" strategy, which aims to boost the digital economy by creating 240,000 direct jobs, contributing to the GDP, and positioning Morocco as a key player in the digital world.
She called, in this regard, for exploring the opportunities Morocco offers as a pioneering destination in Africa, emphasizing that the Kingdom is home to young talents who stand out in advanced technologies.
For his part, Tavio expressed Finland's interest in strengthening relations with Morocco, congratulating Seghrouchni for the upcoming organization of the 2030 World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal.
He noted that such an event could accelerate the development of Morocco's digital infrastructure and various projects related to information and communication technologies.
Seghrouchni also invited startup representatives to visit Morocco to discover the investment opportunities it offers.
