Morocco's Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the South Zone, is undertaking a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from March 16 to 21.
As part of his visit, Lieutenant General Berrid met with Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces. According to a statement from the FAR General Staff, the discussions focused on various aspects of bilateral military cooperation under the guidance of the leaders of both countries.
Both military officials reaffirmed the strong ties of friendship and collaboration between the armed forces of Morocco and Saudi Arabia. They also acknowledged the positive outcomes achieved through their long-standing military partnership.
During his stay, Lieutenant General Berrid also visited the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition. There, he was briefed on the coalition’s missions and the coordination efforts among member states to combat terrorism and extremism, reinforcing security and stability in the region.
This visit aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance military cooperation between Morocco and Saudi Arabia. It also underscores both nations' commitment to exploring new areas of collaboration to address mutual security challenges and strengthen bilateral defense relations.
