Morocco’s automotive industry is making a strong showing at the Motortec Madrid 2025 trade fair, with eight manufacturers representing the Kingdom at one of Europe’s leading exhibitions dedicated to automotive professionals.
Held from April 23 to 26, the event sees Moroccan participation coordinated by the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) and the Moroccan Automotive Industry and Trade Association (AMICA), as part of a push to boost the global visibility and competitiveness of the sector.
Among the participants are six first-time exporters and two companies already active internationally. AMDIE said their presence underscores Morocco’s growing role as a regional manufacturing hub, backed by an industrial strategy focused on high value-added exports, increased local integration, and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The Kingdom’s presence at Motortec highlights its ambitions to deepen economic ties with Spain—one of its top trade partners—and to position itself as a preferred destination for global automotive players seeking efficiency, proximity to European markets, and a well-integrated industrial ecosystem.
“Morocco’s emergence as an international automotive hub is no coincidence,” said organizers, citing modern infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and an investment-friendly environment as key assets. The sector's rise is also attributed to the strategic vision of HM King Mohammed VI, who has prioritized industrialization and export-led growth.
Motortec offers a platform for Moroccan firms to exhibit innovations, connect with key decision-makers, and tap into new opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic automotive supply chains.
