Morocco is currently using 4 types of vaccines against the Coronavirus in the national vaccination campaign after Morocco received the first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine last Friday.
According to sources from the Moroccan health authorities, Morocco has received a shipment of 600,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, making it the fourth type of vaccine used in Morocco.
The first vaccine received by Morocco was the AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine manufactured in India, then the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, which is still the main used vaccine in Morocco, and thirdly, Johnson & Johnson, of which Morocco received 300,000 doses.
The number of people who received a full vaccination in Morocco (two doses of the vaccine) reached more than 11 million and 400 thousand people, while the number of people who received only the first dose reached more than 16 million.
It is worth noting that Morocco was the first African country to launch a vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus, as it was on January 28, 2021.
