The joint bid of Portugal, Spain and Morocco to host the 2030 Football World Cup is "an excellent option", said, Thursday, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (FREF), Luis Rubiales.
"In all modesty, I am proud to say that this bid is an excellent option," said Rubiales in a meeting with the press in Seville.
"The Confederation of African Football and UEFA are totally united on this point and we have great hopes to achieve it," noted in this sense, the head of the Spanish soccer body.
"We respect other bids, but ours is very well thought out and it is strong," he noted.
HM King Mohammed VI announced Morocco's joint bid with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup on March 14 in Kigali, in a message on the occasion of the presentation of CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award-2022.
