RCA Clinch Morocco’s Football League Title

Raja Club Athletic (RCA) were crowned Moroccan champions after beating Mouloudia Club of Oujda 3-0 on Friday at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda, on the 30th and final day of the Botola Pro D1 "Inwi" football league.

Raja's goals were netted by Abdellah Khafifi (34’) and Yousri Bouzok, who scored twice from the penalty spot (45’, 64’).

Following this victory, the Casablanca club took their tally to 72 points at the top of the Botola, compared with 71 points for closest pursuers AS FAR, whose 2-0 win over FUS Rabat was insufficient to retain their trophy. AS FAR's goals were scored by Lamine Diakité (59’) and Youssef Arbidi (90’).

AS FAR, who have topped the standings for most of the season, stumbled to a 2-2 draw with Moghreb Tetouan on Matchday 29, a result that proved decisive in the final race for the title.

With this triumph, Raja clinched the 13th league title in their history, following the 1987-1988, 1995-1996, 1996-1997, 1997-1998, 1998-1999, 1999-2000, 2000-2001, 2003-2004, 2008-2009, 2010-2011, 2012-2013 and 2019-2020 seasons.
